ELDERLY, DISABLED & CONVALESCING CATS
We have experience in caring for elderly and disabled cats and those convalescing from surgery, injury or illness. If your cat has any special requirements, please bring this to our attention at the time of booking so that we can discuss how to best meet your cat's specific needs.
Karen the proprietor, is trained in Animal First Aid. If we feel that your cat needs to see a vet while staying with us, we will always contact your own vet. However, a local vet is on call should the very unlikely event of an emergency occur.....you can go away on your holiday with complete peace of mind in the knowledge that your kitty will be looked after with the highest level of love and care on his/her holiday!
We take a great deal of care to ensue that our facility remains a safe haven from fleas and worms so that your cat doesn't contract them here. It is for this reason that we ask you to ensure that your cat's flea treatment programme (using a vet-recommended treatment such as Frontline) is current or that such a treatment has been applied to your cat a couple of days before boarding. We also ask that your cat's worming treatment is also up to date.
Please note: Your cat's inoculations for Feline Infectious Enteritis and Upper Respiratory Infections (Cat 'Flu) must be up to date. We will ask to see the vaccination certificate before your cat can holiday with us.
We pride ourselves on our hygiene standards and our cleaning routines are an important part of the service we offer you. We use top quality cat litter as standard and litter trays are cleaned at least twice a day. When a cat leaves us, the chalet is thoroughly cleaned, disinfected and all equipment sterilised.
